The first and formost general requirement for admission into the Sixth Ohio is a POSITIVE ATTITUDE towards authenticity and historical accuracy.
Members must be 16 years of age to carry a rifle in the field. Members younger than 16 are encouraged to participate in other ways such as messengers, functioning musicians, or as civilians.
In addition, those under 18 should either have a parent in the unit (and at the events he or she is) or have a signed parental consent form, giving guardianship on a specific person for that particular event.
We welcome those that are 18, however, we want to make it clear that we are an adult organization.
A willingness to procure the correct uniform and equipage as outlined by the uniform guidelines of the Sixth Ohio.
Payment of annual dues of $__. This covers an individual or an entire family!
